Situated prominently on a 5.69-acre site at the southeast corner of Rand and Cuba Roads, Atrium Garden Center is a retail/showroom facility that sells high end outdoor furnishings and traditional gardening materials and tools. Parking is located along the entire front elevation, while the back is dedicated to outdoor display area. The two-story component of the building contains 13,375 square feet of retail space and 1,145 square feet of staff offices. Five greenhouses, making up 28,560 square feet of various planting display, surround the two-story component. Two additional greenhouses to the east of it house 1,530 square feet of restrooms and an employee lunchroom as well as 4,970 square feet of receiving and storage. Currently totaling 53,000 square feet, the building has been designed to allow for future expansion.

The masonry cavity walls consists of a grey “Antique Stone” veneer at the first story and an off-white exterior insulation finishing system (E.I.F.S) at the second. The façade is all capped off by a striking, blue standing seam metal roof which rests on pre-engineered steel trusses. These colors and textures are continued throughout various elements of the entire building. The entrance is flooded with natural light thanks to a glass skylight that overlooks the dramatic two-story atrium.
